Freedom

We exist in a prison,
Of corporeal existence,
Prevented from inhabiting,
The infinite space,
Of our spiritual reality,
We serve a life sentence,
And only through death,
Are we set free.

Biography

Mike Turner was named 2025 Poet of the Year by the Alabama State Poetry Society. He has more than 450 poems published in over 100 literary journals and anthologies. His book, “Visions and Memories,” is available on Amazon.
