Fishes by Hamid Nazarkhah

Fishes

Fishes,

Fantastic autumn nights,

Under the electvic posts of the city,

In the thick fog of the evening ,

Celebrate.

Street pavements,

They breathe the footsteps of passers-by,

The longest night of the year,

With red seeds of words,

They decorate,

But I share the my dream of watermelon dream among the poor people,

To have a happy Yalda.

Stained with Flower Colors by Si Rim Kim

Stained with Flower Colors

As the brisk wind blows,

I long for you even more.

The foxtails,

Densely covering the hill,

All rush toward the western sky.

The sunset blankets the ridgein the fading hues of fire,

And every window in every home

Is stained with flower colors,

With no promise made,

I leave the gate wide open

And step out to greet you—

You,

Whom I can neither see nor touch.

Your Beauty by Lulzim Hajdari

Your Beauty

When you close your eyes, think only of me,

For I will come in dreams to tell you I love you,

When your body is laid on the bed,

In your nightgown, unbuttoned without guilt,

I will gently touch you, not to wake you from sleep,

From the burning embers, I will blaze all!

And I will come out easily, like the leaves of autumn,

And I will go to the river, right to the mountain's water,

When you hear tomorrow that the waterfall has taken me,

Do not worry at all, do not cry for me,

I do not want tears in your eyes, nor any moans,

Your beauty has shattered my heart!

NOW I AM CONVINCED OF MANY THINGS!

Now I am convinced of many things,

That gratitude goes beyond paradise,

It circles and wraps and takes it as a reward

Like a tie wrapped around the neck,

But I am also convinced about the ungrateful ones,

No matter how thick their necks may be,

The tie will thin and thin so much,

Until the last breathe to hell.

I am convinced of many, many things,

About paradise and hell that we forget,

But for one thing, I wait, for a sign from the great God,

So that the afterlife I want to know if it exists!

Blue Butterfly by Im Sol Nae

Blue Butterfly

"The sky and the earth are my coffin, and the sun, moon, and stars are my burial gifts"

Zhuangzi once said.

I envied him.

I envied the silkworm.

That sheds its stiff cocoon of flesh.

To become a butterfly of the soul,

I envied Kübler-Ross,

Who cared for dying children?

Carrying a plush caterpillar that, when flipped,

Transformed into a butterfly,

A small miracle for her young patients,

But what moved me even more

Was the final moment of her own funeral—

Her children opening a small box before the coffin,

Releasing butterflies into the air.

And when the mourners opened their envelopes,

Blue butterflies fluttered out,

Rising toward the sky,

What are we to do with such beauty?

Elisabeth Kübler-Ross: Swiss-born psychiatrist and world-renowned authority on thanatology (the study of death and dying).
