Shoh ëndërra për një kohë tjetër,
duke u djegur në flakë të ngazëllimeve
mbaj gjallë orët e shfazuara të këtij shekulli zvaranik.

Peng e lashë shpirtin për t'u bërë përrallë e qiejve,
ndarë në copëza si mozaiku i psherëtimave mitike
Kopetë e reve janë vënë përpara nga barinj në formë ëngjëjsh,
blegërijnë vetminë time homerike...

Biography

Vjollca Aliaj is an Albanian author and cultural activist with a rich career in literature, poetry, prose, and social and educational engagement. Born in Vlorë, Albania, she pursued her studies at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana, specializing in Industrial Economics. In 2005, she completed a Master's degree in "Bursary and Finance" in Rome, Italy, and in 2007, she undertook a specialization in Civil Emergencies at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome.

On April 27, 2019, Vjollca Aliaj was appointed Rector of the Universo Humanitas People's University in Salerno, Italy, and was designated as the delegate for Albania in this city. Since 2023, she has served as the President of the National Association "Laskarina Bubulina" – Albanian Seafarers' Women (GDSH).

Literary Activity:

Vjollca Aliaj is the author of two books:

• "Qëndisje me fije dielli"

(2019), a poetry collection, ( Embrodery with threads of sunlight)

• "Njeriu lind si një ditë e

bukur" (2024), a collection of poetic prose, short stories, and essays. (

A person born like as e beautiful day).

She is in the process of publishing two new

books: "Kënga e gruas së detarit" (The Song of the Seafarer's Wife),

a collection of prose and essays, and "Etje" (Thirst), a poetry

volume. The poetess has also contributed to numerous literary anthologies

published in Albania, Italy, Brazil, Sweden, and Kosovo, and has published

poetry and prose in various newspapers and magazines in these countries.

Awards and Honors:

Vjollca Aliaj has been recognized with

several awards and titles for her contribution to literature:

• Jeronim de Rada Literary Award (2024) from

the Union of Albanian Writers and Artists "Zëri i Mërgimtarit" in

Novara, Italy, for outstanding merits in Albanian national literature.

• Certificate of Appreciation titled

"Vargje – Aromë deti" (Verses – Fragrance of the Sea) for her

contribution to literature with her poetic creations, awarded in Vlorë,

Albania, November 2024.

• Certificate of Participation in the

national poetry competition "Dantebus" in Italy, 6th edition, 2024.

• "Pegasian" title awarded by the

International Union of Poets, Writers, and Artists "Pegasi Albania"

and the Alternative Pegasian Academy Albania and Brazil, for outstanding

creative activity in poetry and literary sketch.

• Ambassador of Peace title from the

Universal Peace Federation, 2019.

Artistic Activity:

In the field of visual arts, Vjollca Aliaj

has participated in painting exhibitions, including one in 2017 at the Museum

House of writer Ismail Kadare in Gjirokastër and another in November 2024 at

ART SPACE Gallery in Vlorë.

Through her literary and social activities,

Vjollca Aliaj contributes to the promotion of Albanian culture and the

advancement of women's status in society.
