Special Day
My
motherhood has bloomed,
when my
son has emerged,
as a tiny
bud of the most ravishing flower,
yet to be
opened, demanding warmth,
of my
unconditional motherly love.
Our most
cherished relationship,
is ever
blissful and happy,
full of
brilliant love and attention,
even now,
when he has grown up,
and
became a responsible adult.
For a
special day of his birth,
which I
deeply adore within,
the core
of my heart so dearly,
I clearly
state that he is the gift,
most
precious in my whole life,
to which
I dedicated my energy,
and
emotions so extensively.
My son is
a blessing that has,
opened my
being in the right direction,
so that
my life becomes truly elevated,
selflessly
giving all that I had.
Truly
divine joy and fulfillment,
came to
my door when he had begotten,
what a
wonderful gift of having a child.
Irena Jovanović was born in 1971 in Zaječar, Serbia, where she lives and creates. She is a Master of Ceramics Design, artist and poet writing in Serbian and in English. Inners Child Press from the USA published her poetry book "Let It Be" through the contest in 2013. Her poems in both languages are widely represented in many magazines, collections and anthologies, printed and online, in Serbia and worldwide. She has founded and leads The Female Poetic Club "Blade of Grass" in her hometown with 30 members, and a regional branch of SKOR, an association of writers in homeland and abroad, and is their lector and chief editor for all their printed editions.
