BIAGIO FORTINI was born in RipaltaCremasca, in the province of Cremona, Italy. His passion for photography has led him to travel to many countries around the world. His works are included in various anthologies and websites from Canada, the USA, Spain, Italy, Albania, and India, and they have been finalists in various literary and photographic competitions in Italy.
He
won first prize in the Italian12th National Contest of Fiction, Poetry and
Photography “Out of the Drawer” in 2022, in Lecce, as well as the third prize
in the Literary Contest “La Couleur d’un Poème” in 2023, in Milan.
In
2020, the Romanian publisher Amanda Edit published Mai Multe SăruturiDecâtCuvinte
(More Kisses than Words) with photographs by Fortini and poems by the
poet and lyricist Irma Kurti. In 2022, the book One Day You Will Tell Me, comprising
photographs by Fortini and poems by Kurti, was published by the publisher
Barbanera Academy.
Fortini’s photographs have been used for the
covers of over 60 literary works of poetry and prose, published in countries
ranging from the United States to Canada, France, Italy, Greece, Albania,
Kosovo, Romania, Turkey, the Philippines, India, Colombia, Argentina and
Serbia. In his free time, he also paints, expressing his emotions and feelings
through colors and shades.
Biagio Fortini lives in Bergamo, Italy.
